Earlier this summer, we found a great deal on a super cute twin size bed at a yard sale in Utah. The only problem was that it wouldn't fit in our car, so we had to wait for Riley's family to make a trip to Vegas. About a week before their visit, Boston figured out how to climb out of his crib. It totally caught me by surprise! He loves to jump and play in his crib. He usually plays in there for 15-20 minutes before he lets me get him out after a nap, so I didn't think he would ever even try to climb out. Boy was I wrong. I laid him down for a nap one day, then went downstairs. A few minutes later I heard a strange noise (his bedroom door opening), then the sound of little feet running. I looked up into the loft, to hear a giggling little voice tell me "I awake mommy". So, of course I had to have him show me how he got down, and sure enough, he did it again.
Since I could no longer keep him in his crib, the timing for the arrival of his "big boy bed" was perfect. We ordered a mattress online, and it came a few days before the bed, adding to the excitement. He calls it his "magaress."

| This is the box Boston's mattress came in. I thought it was the wrong one and was totally bummed. Then I took it out of the box, and it fluffed right up into a twin size mattress- way cool! Plus, Boston thinks the box is an awesome tunnel. |

A few days latter, his "big boy bed" arrived. After a few hours of frustration, and a trip to Home Depot, Riley and his brother got it all put together. I love it, and Boston does too! It is so funny to look at the monitor and see him in there playing when he wakes up.

| Ater one of his first nights in his new bed, Boston came running into my room about an hour earlier than usual. He was wide awake and happy as could be as he told me "I awake mommy, Boson all done sleeping". I was definitely not happy to get up, but he was so cute that I couldn't be upset. He then convinced me that we needed to go downstairs for milk and cereal, and was quite proud of himself when I complied :). |
