August Pictures

Here is a look at some of our adventures from August.
Boston usually hates splash pads, like to the point that he won't go near them and freaks out if any water splashes on his clothes. One nice and overcast night (a.k.a. cool enough that the slides wouldn't burn Boston's hands), we decided to have dinner at the park. After a few minutes Boston started heading toward the splash pad. He then started running right through it, totally fearless! I hadn't even thought to bring a towel or change of clothes, so we stripped him down in the parking lot and took him home in just a diaper.

Boston loves backpacks. He calls this one "daddy turtle backpack."

We decided to look at bikes one night at Walmart. Riley got one down and Boston wanted nothing to do with it. While Riley was looking at other bikes, Boston found this cool blue "hat." After he put it on, he was all about the bike and wanted to ride it all over the store :-).
Boston is a big fan of Mr. Potato head. One day he decided to wear "Tato Head's" glasses. I thought he would leave them on for a minute or two, then move onto something else. Nope, he wore them all morning- Silly boy.

28 Weeks!

Boston loves "helping daddy," I think they are both pretty cute :-).

I found this "duck hat" in a box of treasures my mom saved from when I was growing up.
Boston thinks it is super cool.

One night Boston wanted "mommy dance wiff me"- heart officially melted.

Boston is getting ready for baby sister ;-).

Here, There, Everywhere

As an end of summer hurrah, my mom, niece and nephew planned a trip to come visit us in Vegas. Then, as an extra surprise, my brother came with them. It was really cute to see Boston get so excited for them to come. He kept saying, "Tally, I lobe it Tally" and we had to stand at the corner and wait for them when we knew they were close (Funny story here: we were right there at the corner waiting, and my mom turned down the wrong street! Silly mama had been in the car too long). We had lots of fun while they were visiting. We went school shopping, made a trip to the strip, swam, and swam, then swam some more. Unfortunately, I only got a few pictures to document our Vegas adventures.
Bella and Boston all dressed up for church.

We went out to dinner one night, and stayed out a bit too far past bed time. Boston decided he had had enough, found his binki, laid down on the bench at the table and asked for a blanket. I didn't have one, so I laid a napkin on him, and he snuggled right in.
After a week in Vegas, Boston and I hopped in my mom's van and headed to Brigham City with my family. My little sister is pregnant and having a baby girl just a few weeks after my little lady is due (almost 3 weeks exactly), so we threw her a baby shower while I was there. I think it turned out quite cute, and she got some really cute/useful stuff.
The decorations

Pregos!
While we were planning and getting ready for the shower, Boston and grandpa had a blast. As soon as my dad got home from work each night, Boston was by his side, or pulling him around by his finger. I think they both walked away with a few bumps and bruises, but not sure which one of them had more fun!

I love Boston's big huge smile in this picture!

Boston had lots of fun and did lots of silly things, and for once, I even managed to get quite a few of these things on camera.

Our day of shopping wore Boston out enough to snuggle in and take a nap at Sam's Club.

Testing out Bella's nerd glasses....

And Bella's backpack...

And Bella's "Corn-horse hat".  While holding his "Tally doll."

Boston wanted to wear a cool curler like grandma.

Uncle Tyler taught Boston how to "shake a booty."

A few other random pics:
28 Weeks

Busted! Even though it is blurry, I love, love, love this picture! This is the corner in my mom's kitchen. It is seriously a really comfortable place to sit and we always fight over "my spot," which usually leads to several of us sitting over there on the floor. My mom always lets us know "there are plenty of chairs in this house." So, when we were eating a quick pizza dinner one night and I noticed my mom sitting in the corner, even though there were several open spots at the counter, so I had to document it. As soon as she realized she was busted, we all had fun letting her know, "there are plenty of chairs in this house." I sure love my silly family!
Instead of paying lots of money to fly out of Salt Lake, Boston and I added one more stop to our trip. We convinced my aunt Alice to take us home with her after the baby shower, so we could fly out of Idaho Falls... after taking a day to play ;-). I think Boston pulled every single toy out of her toy box, several times and loved having cousin's (2nd cousins- I think?) to play with! He ran and danced, and fought bed time with everything he had in him, because he didn't want to miss out on any fun. While he was playing, I got to see some of my aunt's mad crafting skills at work. If it is cute, crafty or cleaver- she can figure out how to make it, and it usually turns out even cuter than what you were going for. She is amazing! She helped me make an adorable skirt for baby girl! Unfortunately for her, what she calls "a quick little project," turns into an all day event when you factor in my skill level. But she was able to make up for my lack of skill/fix my screw ups, and I'm so excited for baby girl to wear this little skirt!
Love it and aunt Ali!
After that we headed to the airport, where Boston's lack of sleep after two weeks on the go started to catch up with us. He got very upset when we checked his carseat and cried all the way through the airport "Boson carseat, Boson carseat." He calmed down once we were at our gate and could see the airplanes. Then he totally lost it again when we had to gate check his stroller to get on the plane. Our seat was on the very last row of the plane, and he cried all the way back, and until take off about "Boson blue stroller, Boson blue stroller." Luckily there was an empty row of seats across the aisle from us and the flight attendant let us move. Boston calmed down a bit after he had more space to move and finally gave up and laid down, right as we were approaching Vegas. Once he was reunited with his blue stroller, he was a happy kid again, and insisted on pushing the stroller through the entire airport. Even the pilots beat us out of the airport and several people commented about how glad they were that he had gotten his blue stroller back. Super embarrassing, but we all survived.

Boston was super excited to see Riley, which was cute enough to almost make me forget what a stinker he had been. We were all really excited to be home. It was also nice to know, Riley couldn't survive for long without us. We left without grocery shopping and after having visitors for a week, so there really was no food in the house. Somehow Riley made it through the week without grocery shopping (I'm still not sure what he ate). I don't think our fridge has been this empty since the day we bought it!
