Big news at our house, we finally got Boston a Bike!
He can't quite reach the peddles, and it is too hot to ride it outside. So, he is now using his bike to terrorize our house, and he loves it!

When we were working on our yard last month we thought we had completely cut down and pulled up this plant.
Nope... It's back, so we have decided it can stay.

This is Boston's favorite way to ride in his car seat.

We have friends who live out at Spring Mountain State Park (yep at the park, it is totally awesome).
We have been able to go on a few hikes with them so far this summer. Boston loves running around with the kids and it is so nice to be outside in the mountains where it is a bit cooler!

Boston loves "hiding", it also makes me laugh pretty hard :).


My kid is crazy. He loves a good dance party and it cracks me up!

Baby Bling and Phelps Fun

Instead of coming home for a few days, then heading right back to northern Utah for Riley's family reunion, Boston and I decided to spend some time at my parents house. The weather was much cooler than us desert dwellers are use to, so my dad found Boston a silly hat (which he of course loved, and wore for pretty much 3 days straight), and I stayed inside making baby shower presents and accessories for our baby girl :).

After a few days, we met up with the Phelps side of Riley's family in Ogden for a reunion. I remembered to take a grand total of two pictures- mom fail.
We started the adventure with an Ogden Raptors baseball game. Boston loved it! He was calling strikes, and whoot-wooing, it was so dang cute! We might have to go to another game just so I can redeem myself and get it all on video. The next day we hit up Seven Peaks water park, where Boston wanted nothing to do with the water. Riley convinced him to get into one pool, where he could see his cousins going down the slides. Besides that, he just wanted to eat snacks and play in tubes, that were out of the water.

We also had a chance to hit up some awesome yard sales. We got Boston a super cute "big boy" bed for $20, I'm super excited about it. Boston's favorite part was when aunt Jamie got him a chocolate chip cookie.

The condos we were staying in also had a tetherball pole, which Boston thought was awesome. Plus, to top it all off, there were lots of cousins for him to run crazy with. It is safe to say, he was completely worn out by the time we headed home. We moved into our own car in Cedar City, and he slept almost until we made it to our neighborhood, when we started hearing "home, home" from the backseat.

60 Years!

Each year the Andersen side of our family (or as many as can come) gets together for a few days of camping and rafting in Idaho. This year, we switched things up a bit to celebrate my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. Instead of a campsite, we parked the trailer and set up tents at my grandparents farm. Boston loved it! There were horses, baby cows, even a tractor and to top it all off, aunts, uncles, cousins and two grandpas to spend the entire day outside with him. Along with dozens of people to entertain my child, I got to enjoy my grandma's sourdough pancakes and homemade chicken noodle soup- two of my all time favorites.

My grandparents are awesome! Sixty years together and they still have each other's backs 100%. My grandma watches the clock and knows how long each of my grandpa's chores on the farm should take and when he should be back. My grandma has trouble with her hip, so my grandpa is there every morning to rub her feet and put her shoes on for her (seriously one of the cutest and most loving things I have ever seen). On the farm, my grandpa is tough and fearless (have you ever seen an 80+ year old man bully a 1,000+ pound bull?... I have), so it was really special to see the tender loving side of him.

My grandparents anniversary celebration was also the first time in more than 20 years that my dad and all of his siblings have gotten together (there are 8 kids in his family!). It was fun to introduce Riley to some of the family members he had heard stories about, but hadn't gotten to meet.

Boston loved looking at all of the airplanes while we were waiting at the airport.
After about 20 minutes, I stopped hearing "airplane!" every few seconds and noticed he was out cold.

Last year and this year. It is safe to say, Boston could cause a lot more trouble this year!
